Shop faves, Little Barrie (led by guitar ace, Barrie Cadogan, & bassist, Lewis Wharton), cook up a genre-blending sound that touches on the ’60s British blues explosion, deep funk, hip-hop & rock n’ roll. This, their second collaboration with master drummer, producer & The Heliocentrics founder, Malcolm Catto, is heady, soulful, exploratory… but never self-indulgent. Each thick-grooved bass line, every rat-a-tat drum, all of those weaving and spiralling guitar lines, lock in together as a tight-knit unit, making ‘Electric War’ a helluva brain-toting display!

Nearly a decade in the making, this collaboration from two of American Indie's leading lights (Julien Baker & TORRES) brings the country stylings firmly to the front, tossing an 'a' on the end of American and banjo-twanging their way through tales of redemption and despair. Armed with just as much heaving doom wallop and anti-colonial rage as ever before, Divide & Dissolve's voluminous waves of monstrous guitar drones just might surprise you with the optimistic glow they radiate. AND there's a signed edition! Your telly on the wireless man - Tunde Adebimpe - comes through with his first ever solo release, flinging those trademark jolts of soul into the electro-indie mould that TVOTR first broke twenty years back. And there's proper North Carolina folk music played by Rhiannon Giddens & Justin Robinson (AKA some of the best to do it). It's a wonderful salve from a duo instilling so much emotion and poignant history into every finger-picked and fiddle-bowed run.
