After releasing the utterly mesmerising EP, The dirt pt 1 in 2025 as a digital-only release, we got in touch with this fascinating artist to see if he’d be up for releasing the EP as part of our Dinked Early Doors series. And what do you know – he said Yes! Not only that, but there was new music on the way & he suggested that we hang on so we could have even more to share with you on a glorious slab of wax. So here you have it – a double slice of the northerner’s brilliantly playful and inventive output. 

Hailing from Darlington, Pollyfromthedirt creates raw, rough-edged alternative music steeped in grit, emotion, and unfiltered truth. Blending jagged guitar work with lo-fi textures and stark lyricism, his sound is as uncompromising as it is evocative. If folk and lo-fi punk share any kind of resemblance - strained balladry, a DIY ethos and bewildering sparse arrangements - then an act like Pollyfromthedirt, fluent in both mocking dry wit and heavier techniques, is perfectly poised to disrupt them.
