Also out this week:
There's a rousing, heart-swelling, set of guitar-led anthems from the supergroup of 86TVs (feat. former Maccabees & Stereophonics, no less) who'll be rocking the shop tomorrow evening, combining a love for 90s breakbeats with her pop prowess and skill as a producer, ‘Million Dollar Baby’ is Pixey’s most accomplished and ambitious pop project to date (and a Dinked edition to boot!), whilst 'Cellophane Memories' is a more subdued affair than previous David Lynch musical outings, it still throbs with romantic longing beneath the syrupy drizzle of Chrystabell's soothing vocals, and that masked Western troubadour Orville Peck has corralled some serious vocal talent to join him on this 'Stampede' through a bonafide litany of hefty country-swung belters.
And, in other news, we've been worshipping at the Chappell of Roan, Cardiacs are scrambling our minds, there's a viddy limited 7" from A Certain Ratio, the final X album ever is here, Cranes debut has been gloriously reissued, Curtis Mayfield has been given the remix treatment, The Reds, Pinks & Purples are in cloudbusting form, and, if you can make it down to the shop first thing tomorrow morning, you'll be in with a shot of securing one of the last few Jack White 'No Name' Indies LPs that we've reserved for over the counter sales only!
