It’s been a lot of fun revisiting the band’s seminal album to create this deluxe Dinked Archive Edition. They came on strong from the outset and have been ‘Coming On Strongerer’ ever since!

Hot Chip are our band. This, their debut record, came out via Moshi Moshi in 2004, the year we opened the shop. We were lucky enough to be given an early copy of it by a trusted source who told us “I think you guys will like this” and we found ourselves instantly hooked on their twisted, oddball, electro pop. 

They messed with our shopfloor categorisation though. We put the album in the Rock / Indie section, then moved it to Dance and then back again. They defied easy categorisation then, and with each new album since, they have shaken up all previous expectations. Long may that continue…
