We're talking, of course, about ‘Tiger’s Blood’ from Waxahatchee (aka Katie Crutchfield) & 'Manning Fireworks' from MJ Lenderman (of Wednesday fame). 

The 2 artists are undeniably sonically aligned & they have paired their talents together too. ‘Right Back To It’, Waxahatchee's first single from 'Tigers Blood' featured guest vocals from MJ Lenderman. Emotive but not syrupy, catchy yet complex, meandering but focused - the track was recently nominated for Song of the Year at the Americana Honors & Awards.

There's no denying that country music is having a moment. If you'd mentioned just a year ago that artists such as Beyonce & Post Malone would be making waves with six-stringed Southern charm, we'd likely have bashed you with a banjo out of disbelief. As much as we like Country music and those particular albums, Americana served with a little indie slant is our true jam. Which is precisely why these particular records have hit so hard for us.
